After going back and reading my other 8 blog post with 4 of them being over the memoir Educated by Tara west over which tells the story of Tara west over and how she grow up with out going to school at all because her father believes the government is evil and was out to get him and his family so he refused to let any of his kids go to school or do anything that he thought would put them into the system. and the other 4 blog post being about how I fell or my opinions about things. over the past 8 weeks i have learned that I needed to work hard in order to keep up with my reading and my blogging and that I will procrastinate no matter how much I should do a assignment. Over the past 8 weeks i have changed by trying to do my assignments on time and I have spent more time reading then I had been previously this past school year. My blogs have changed from being a sloppy mess of words to something that I am actually proud of and mean something.

The blog that I think was my strongest was the Connections blog which I stated connections between the memoir Educated by Tara west over and my life. I think this was my strongest blog because the book had so many connections to my life and the things around me. My hardest blog was the one titled “music and its influence on me”. I think this was my hardest blog to wright because it was the first blog that I had to wright and I did not know what I was doing or how to wright a blog post.

I would wright a memoir of my life because my life is different from everyone else and I think people deserve to hear how my experiences compare to theirs. and I think It would be nice for people in the future to read to hear about how the world that they are growing up in is different them the world that I am growing up in today. another reason I would wright a memoir is so that when I am older I can read it and remember all the good times that I had and all the memories that have sipped out of my mind as time went by.

My definition of gratitude it to be thankful or to appreciate someone

I experience gratitude every time my parents drop off something at school for me. I am greathearted time my parents drop of something I forget at home. one time before one of my band concerts I forgot to bring food and I was going to have to wait to eat till after the concert but then my mom ordered a pizza for me so that I could eat. I was very grateful for her doing that because she didn’t have to order me food she could have just waited till after the concert to feed me but she went out of her way to get me food.

A important quote from the book Educated by Tara West over is when Tara West over says “you can love someone and still chose to say goodbye to them” she says this when she is leaving her family to go to collage. this is important to the story because she is talking about her family and that she still loves them even though she chose to leave them behind to go to collage. this quote relates to any kid going to collage because normally when kids go to collage they still love their parents but they have to leave them to move on with their life. another quote that fits into this is “you can miss a person every day, and still be glad they are no longer in your life.” said by Tara west over this is said awhile after she left her family and it is important because it shows that she that she misses her father every day but is glad that he is not in her life because he would never approve of what she has done with her life. these quotes connect to every ones life because everyone leaves their family at some point to go to collage or make a life of their own and even though the love their family they still leave them so that they can live their life on their own and the second quote connects to every ones life because everyone has a family member that they love but do not want in your life because they are they are not a very supportive person or because they are not good to be around. this help s people to to know when someone is not good for you and that you need to get them out of your life before they cause it more damage then they already have.

A connection between the memoir Educated by Tara west over and my life is that both Tara west over and my sisters went to BYU for collage this is significant because sense it is the same school it would be cool to compare their experiences to each other and see how their time there was similar and where it differed. this connection is significant to me because it allows me to see what the school my sisters Catherine and Caleigh is like so I can know how they must feel going there. it is also significant because from the experiences my sisters have shared with me I am able to have back round knowledge about the memoir like what every day life is like, what the living areas look like, and what the people that go there are like. giving me a broader understanding of the memoir Educated, where it takes place, and the experiences of the author Tara West over. When I went to go visit my sisters Catherine and Caleigh a collage I was able to see places like the cafeteria, the student housing, classrooms, and the shop that they have in the school. a question that i have after reading this part is if my sisters ever heard of Tara west over at BYU. Due to how unusual her life was i wonder if my sisters have heard about Tara in there school. They probably have heard about Tara west over in there school due to the impact she had on the school for example not going to school as a child and in turn not knowing what the Holocaust was when she went collage or any other big event in history because her father would not let her go to school because he believed that the government was evial and was out to get him and his family.

The memoir “Educated” by Tara Westover brings to mind the HULU TV show “The Act” In Educated Tara Westover tells the reader about her experiences about how when she was a child she didn’t go to school or have a birth certificate because her father didn’t trust the government, and in “The Act” Gypsy’s mom is super overprotective and wont let her go any where. The main thing that connects the two is the fact that both of their parents are crazy. In Educated Tara’s Dad Tells her to go stand in the place where they dump the scrap after she goes and stands there her father starts dump scrap on to her she then gets impaled through the leg but her father continues to dump scrap onto her. In the show The Act the main character Gypsy is a 15 year old girl who is diagnosed with Munchhausen syndrome by proxy which means that she isn’t sick but her body makes her believe she is sick when she is around people. It is later found out that own mother is making her sick to keep her from leaving forcing Gypsy to find a way to get away from her mother. In Educated Tara just runs away from her dad but in The Act Gypsy convinces her boyfriend to kill her mom in order to free her. Throughout the book the connections will continue to appear but these are the most obvious ones with the clearest connection between the two.

I would like to travel to London England because it looks like a beautiful place full of amazing landmarks. The thing I would want to see the most in London would be big Ben  and the London eye. I want to see these landmarks because they are in a whole bunch of movies and TV shows.

Music has affected me by act and feel. Three songs that have affected my life are Pokemon Theme, Get happy, and Hazy Shade of Winter. these songs have affected me by influencing how I act and feel. The Pokemon theme song has affected my life by making me “want to be the very best like no one ever was” this song has pushed me to be better at everything I do. Wanting to be better has helped me raise my grades and to start exercising more. With better grades I have been able to spend less time on trying to fix my grades.

Another song that has influenced me is Get Happy. This song has influenced me because it made me think of other places and want to travel to those places. Because I’ve  wanted to travel I have been interested in Places and landmarks all over the world. To to this I spend some of my free time searching places and learning facts about them. It also brings to mind the movie Ant Man and the Wasp and the Marvel cinematic universe it clouded me to think about about what happened after the avengers failed to beat Thanos and wonder how ant man will escape the quantum realm.

Another song that has affected me is hazy shade of winter it always keeps me thinking about time travel and the effects that it has “if you hopes shall pass away simply pretend you can do it again” it also reminds me of the Netflix show The Umbrella Academy and makes me think of all the things that have happened in the show and what might happen next.

In conclusion music has had a huge impact on my life by affecting my likes, dislikes, and who I hang out with.
